EJ Jackson is the author of 'The Journey & Other Short Stories’ (‘science fiction stories with a twist’) and 'The Methuselah Paradox' (a contemporary detective story with a premise firmly rooted in speculative fiction).

A native of Hampshire, Elaine has loved science fiction for as long as she can remember. 'Star Trek', 'Doctor Who' and 'Captain Scarlet' were early and enduring favourites, later joined by such stalwarts as 'Blake's 7' and 'The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy' - in 1980 Elaine founded the official appreciation society for 'HHGTTG', ZZ9

Elaine studied writing with Faber Academy, taking their ‘Write a Novel Online’ course in 2013-2014, and editing and screenwriting with The Writer’s Workshop in 2014.

Elaine's next project is to adapt 'The Methuselah Paradox' for the stage, and a follow-up novel featuring D.I. Hammond. She is also developing a graphic novel, titled 'Minding Mama'.

Elaine is an avid reader, and enjoys TV, movies and going to the theatre. She lives in Surrey with her husband and son.

Elaine will be reading at the Author Open Mic session. If you wish to be considered for this as well please send a message to the programme email listed on the Contacts page.
